Even though the audience doesn't know where the group is going you know that they aren't going to have a cup of tea. You can tell that they may be going to cause or sort out trouble.
The titles that we see are in basic font and a gold colour this could show the audience that they are out to get money and the plan font showing that they don't hang around or really plan things they just do what they want when they want.
The characters are shown As very stereotype gangsters due to the gold chains, smoking if cigars and black sun glasses.
Just from the opening we see its a gangster genre and has themes of maybe violence, gangs and crime.
The atmosphere comes across to be very serious but fun at the same time due to the characters all seeming to be friends.
The opening is set in a car park which shows they could be going somewhere in a town but it doesn't give anything away about the rest of the film.
Finally the sound is the use of juxtaposition as it doesn't really fit what the audience are seeing.

The opening to Hitch shows the narrative by having the main character both talking to the camera and narrating over the other parts of the opening. He tells us that he has men that have there eye on someone but don't know how to make there move so they go to him and he sets them up with each other. That is then the business that he runs.
From the opening we see that the film is a romantic comedy with themes of love, work and hobbies.
All the settings of the opening are public places such as a hotel, theatre, gym and a sweet shop, this then means that the majority of the settings have been introduced in the opening for the audience to get the plot of the film.
The atmosphere that the audience gets from the opening is a romantic and happy feeling.
In the opening we are introduced to seven different characters, three men and three women which we see should later become three couples, we are also introduced to the main character who is the narrator and the business owner.
The music that is played is very laid back and relaxing which gives a romantic and light hearted feel to the opening as well as hearing the dialogue from the narrator.
Finally the titles are in a small block font making it look very formal this also gives the audience the feel of the film being about a business. We see the titles of the main actors and the director. At the start we see the different institutions and distribution companies.
